The account of sin and virtue happens after death

It has been said in Garuda Purana that after death the soul has to pass through various paths, where the accounts of its sins and virtues are done. Only after this the soul decides the journey ahead. It is also mentioned in this that shortly before death the voice of a person stops, all the senses of the body stop working and the person receives divine vision from the divine at the last moment of life. Only after this the soul leaves the body. Then two Yamdoots of Yamraj come and take the soul to Yamlok. Yamdoots on the way behave with the soul in the same way as the soul would have treated others in its life.

The soul passes through three routes after death

It has also been told in the Garuda Purana that after death the soul has to pass through three paths. In this, the first is Archi Marg, the second is Dhoom Marg and the third is Genesis Vinash Marg. In this, the first route is for Dev Lok and Brahma Lok, which is the highest. After death in this, such people go who have done only good deeds in their life and stayed away from sins. The journey of Dhoom Marg is called the journey of Pitrlok. On the other hand, the origin of the third path is a very destructive path. This is a journey to hell and in this the soul has to face a lot of pain.
